About us
Our scientific team is an international and interdisciplinary group of researchers working at the intersection of social, cognitive, affective, and clinical neuroscience and psychology. Bringing together expertise from leading European institutions, the team investigates how people understand themselves and others, with a particular focus on social cognition, self–other distinction, empathy, and socio-cognitive functioning in both healthy and clinical populations.
Researchers in the team are affiliated with institutions including the University of Vienna (Prof. Lamm, Dr. Pronizius), UCLouvain (Prof. Bukowski, Bigot), KU Leuven (Prof. Luyten, Dr. De Meulemeester, van Damme), and University College London (Prof. Luyten), reflecting a strong international collaboration across Belgium, Austria, and the United Kingdom.
